The Mobile Greyhound Park is one of the few places in the South that accepts wagers for races and showcases live greyhound races year round. It is home to the World Champion greyhound JJ Doc Richard that became famous for its 37 consecutive wins in May 1995. The park honors its founder Maurice ‘Casey’ Downing for making greyhound racing legal in Mobile County. Guests attending the races can place their bets at the park’s ticket office, and enjoy a gourmet dinner buffet at the park’s Port of Call Banquet Room. The park is located just 35 minutes away from Bay Minette and 1 hour from Biloxi.
Admission to the Mobile Greyhound Park is always free and valet parking is available. The park is open for a Matinee race on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and in the evenings Monday through Saturday. A simulcast is available on Sundays.
